This is an entry-level non-exempt position that supports the daily operations of our distribution center. Under the direction of the Distribution Center Manager or Assistant Distribution Manager, the successful candidate will perform administrative tasks and assist with manual labor aspects of the operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily operations at the distribution center.
  • Perform administrative duties associated with daily operations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to delivery service provider contracts.
  • Retrieve and distribute paperwork as needed.
  • Communicate with subscribers regarding complaints or concerns.
  • Operate office equipment, including fax, copier, and computer equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including contracted routes, dispatch times, and customer complaints.
  • Assist with unloading newspapers from delivery trucks and verifying receipt of proper amounts.
  • Perform other warehouse and housekeeping tasks as necessary.

Requirements

  • Efficient use of Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
