Position Overview:

The role of a NIGHT AUDITOR involves the meticulous computation, classification, and documentation of numerical data to ensure comprehensive financial records. This position entails performing various routine calculations, postings, and verification tasks to gather essential financial data for maintaining accurate accounting records. Additionally, the auditor may verify the correctness of figures, calculations, and postings related to business transactions recorded by other personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with guests and colleagues in a welcoming, service-oriented manner.
  • Adhere to established standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maintain a consistently friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Execute and finalize the End of Day procedures.
  • Generate all necessary reports for the Food and Beverage audit.
  • Complete the Night Audit checklist for daily computer operations.
  • Balance daily financial activities.
  • Manage cashiering responsibilities in accordance with Front Office protocols.
  • Ensure the Front Office computer system operates smoothly.
  • Perform all Front Office functions during the hours of 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • Address and resolve all guest requests throughout the night shift.
  • Follow established safety and emergency protocols.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping (e.g., log books).
  • Familiarize oneself with all policies and house rules.
  • Prepare initial direct bills daily and ensure proper documentation is attached.
  • Maintain communication with other staff members via radio throughout the shift.
  • Possess a working knowledge of security procedures.
  • Ensure all staff members are attentive, friendly, and courteous to guests, management, and fellow employees.
  • Compile and distribute the Daily Flash Report.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required; experience in a hotel or related field is preferred. Completion of a Bartender's course or school is also advantageous.
