Job Title: Mechanical Engineer I

Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer I to join our team in Goleta, California. As a Mechanical Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for our Electronic Warfare (EW) Mechanical Engineering Subsystems Design section.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for EW applications, including antennas, RF products, and high-density electronic packaging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design objectives are met and products meet customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed mechanical designs and documentation packages for RF, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Participate in the mechanical development of various programs in Goleta, California, and work closely with program/functional supervision to ensure design objectives are met.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 months of relevant professional work experience.
  • Experience in mechanical engineering design and product support through educational coursework or prior intern experience.
  • Experience with 3-D modeling and analysis using Creo or other tools.
  • Ability to apply basic principles, theories, and concepts within the mechanical engineering field and general knowledge of other related disciplines.
