Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer I to join our Electronic Warfare (EW) Mechanical Engineering Subsystems Design section within the Mechanical Optical Performance Analysis and Electronic Warfare (MOPA&EW) Department at Raytheon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, structures, and mechanisms for electronic warfare applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electronic and software components.
  • Perform thermal analysis and simulation to ensure optimal performance of mechanical systems.
  • Develop and maintain detailed mechanical designs and documentation packages for RF, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Work closely with program/functional supervision to ensure design objectives are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • Experience in mechanical engineering design and product support through educational coursework or prior intern experience.
  • Experience with 3-D modeling and analysis using Creo or other tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with M/S Office tools i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Knowledgeable in reading mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings.
  • Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) analysis for drawings.
