As a Mechanical Engineer I, you will be responsible for performing conceptual and detailed mechanical design of Antennas, RF products/sub-systems, High Density Electronic packaging designs and Electronic components/devices for application in ground, sea, and airborne defense.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design of structures, mechanisms, thermal systems, and electronic enclosures
  • Follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program/functional supervision to ensure the overall design objectives are met with the design
  • Contacts are primarily with the immediate section manager, team lead, project leaders, and other personnel (peers) within the applicable program
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with M/S Office tools i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Ability to apply basic principles, theories, and concepts within the mechanical engineering field and general knowledge of other related disciplines
  • Knowledgeable in reading mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings
  • Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) analysis for drawings
