Job Title: Pre-Admission Testing Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

University Orthopedics is seeking a skilled Pre-Admission Testing Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse LPN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical nursing and excellent communication skills.

Job Summary:

The Pre-Admission Testing Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse LPN will be responsible for facilitating pre-admission testing processes, communicating with patients and healthcare teams, and ensuring quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain confidentiality of medical information
  • Review charts and surgery schedules
  • Facilitate efficient and effective interface between patients and healthcare teams
  • Provide patient assessment, education, and plan of care
  • Document patient information and communicate with healthcare teams
  • Interview, instruct, reassure, and comfort patients
  • Explain treatment procedures, medications, and physician instructions
  • Constantly communicate with patients regarding their surgeries
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager
Requirements:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Rhode Island
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
  • Clinical skills, documentation skills, and excellent communication skills
  • Computer skill proficiency in EHR, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including telephone etiquette
  • Motivated individual with a team approach
  • Ability to travel to all sites as necessary
