Job Summary:
Lifespan is seeking a skilled Physician Hospitalist to join our team at Rhode Island Hospital. As a Hospitalist, you will be responsible for conducting initial patient assessments, formulating and implementing treatment plans, and coordinating care with primary care physicians and specialists.

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Internal Medicine and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting. Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting initial patient assessments and admissions
  • Formulating and implementing treatment plans
  • Scheduling and reviewing clinical and diagnostic tests
  • Providing updates to primary care physicians and family members
  • Coordinating patient transfers to and from the ICU, medical/surgical unit, and skilled nursing facilities
  • Coordinating discharge planning and performing administrative duties related to the position

Requirements:
A minimum of a U.S. medical degree (MD or DO) or foreign equivalent, Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine, and eligibility for Rhode Island medical license are required.
