Care Coordinator for Pre-Surgical Patients

**Role Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Lifespan, where you will play a critical role in the pre-admission testing process for patients undergoing surgery.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Obtain comprehensive medical and surgical histories, as well as perform and record physical examinations as needed.
- Collaborate with the anesthesia and surgeon teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients.
- Provide educational and liaison supports to healthcare team members, ensuring seamless communication and care.
- Initiate life-saving measures in emergency situations, utilizing your expertise in Basic Life Support.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical research projects.
**Requirements:**
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program with MS degree.
- Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) to practice in the expanded role.
- License with prescriptive privileges and certification in Basic Life Support.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner, with patient care services procedures and privileges approved by the sponsoring physician.
**Work Environment and Physical Requirements:**
This role is based in a healthcare environment, with minimal physical hazards mitigated by established safety procedures and precautions.
**Supervisory Responsibility:**
No supervisory responsibility is required for this role.
