Role Summary:
  • The Cell Therapy Project Manager will play a vital role within the Cell Therapy Development (CTD) Operations & Services (DO&S) Portfolio Management Office.
  • This individual will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of project objectives, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
  • The projects will focus on technical aspects, supporting development programs with an emphasis on internal coordination of tech transfer.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to define project scope and strategy, develop comprehensive project plans, and coordinate deliverables with functional leads will be essential.
  • Responsibilities include managing timelines, risks, budgets, resources, and communicating project status while being accountable for outcomes.
  • Utilizing best practices, tools, and templates from CTD DO&S PMO, the Project Manager will work with both internal and external partners to implement effective project management strategies.
  • The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership qualities and possess extensive cross-functional tech transfer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate internal tech transfer processes to ensure smooth transitions throughout development phases.
  • Work closely with development, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams to synchronize tech transfer processes with project timelines and objectives.
  • Exhibit strong leadership to ensure projects are executed on schedule and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain detailed tech transfer plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and timeline tracking.
  • Organize cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment and address any tech transfer-related challenges; participate in relevant project meetings as needed.
  • Monitor and report on tech transfer activities, ensuring milestones are achieved and any deviations are addressed promptly. Communicate project status to leadership, providing solutions and opportunities as they arise.
  • Act as the primary liaison for internal tech transfer coordination, fostering clear communication and collaboration among all teams involved.
  • The successful candidate will have a robust background in project management and tech transfer coordination, with the capability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects in a dynamic setting.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in biotech/life sciences project management; experience in cell therapy is preferred.
  • Proven cross-functional tech transfer experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM or Life Sciences-related field.
  • Project management certification is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as MS Project, Office Timeline Pro, Smartsheet, MS PPT, MS Excel, SharePoint, etc.
  • Strong understanding of the biopharma industry, with familiarity in end-to-end CMC drug development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively with matrixed teams while maintaining strong business relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and executive presence; ability to positively influence project outcomes.
  • Expertise in conflict resolution.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to adapt and respond to the demands of a dynamic environment.
