Job Summary

The Welding Process Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining welding processes to ensure the effectiveness, consistency, and quality compliance of the operations welding team's production. This role requires a strong understanding of welding technologies and processes, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain welding processes for various items and equipment using GMAW, GTAW, and CMT processes.
  • Monitor the effectiveness and consistency of each production welder and conduct training as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments and operators to ensure the first-time success of all casting repair welds and support other personnel in completing their work activities.
  • Develop advanced casting welding techniques across various alloys, including alternate welding technologies and automated welding solutions.
Requirements
  • BS in Welding Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in welding.
  • Hands-on welding experience, with GTAW (TIG) welding experience mandatory.
  • Aerospace welding and qualification experience preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective data analysis skills, with minimum 6 Sigma Green Belt training or equivalent.
