Description

As a valued member of the Mechanical Engineering service, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to devise innovative solutions. You may work alongside key professionals such as Tony Effenberger PE, Mechanical Engineering Practice Group Leader, and Austin Eigenberg, Graduate Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, specify, and analyze mechanical systems for buildings, encompassing HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Work in conjunction with architects, structural engineers, and other internal teams to seamlessly integrate mechanical systems into building designs.
  • Conduct calculations, simulations, and modeling to guarantee system efficiency, safety, and adherence to codes and standards.
  • Oversee the production and quality control of design documentation.
  • Manage the creation of construction documents and project administration.
  • Evaluate existing mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Prepare reports and present findings to clients.
  • Engage in project development and management.
  • Coordinate with design and drafting personnel to meet production deadlines and ensure quality assurance.
  • Embrace ISG's culture, goals, and objectives, which include geographic and project-type diversity.
  • Contribute positively as a team member.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members while actively participating in recruitment efforts to strengthen the team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in HVAC and plumbing design.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or eligibility for licensure.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with design standards and codes relevant to vertical infrastructure design.
  • A high level of technical and organizational proficiency, coupled with strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage and prioritize multiple project assignments.
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in software tools such as AutoCAD MEP, Trane Trace, BlueBeam, Speclink, Microsoft Office; experience with Revit MEP is preferred.
