Body Shop Technician

The Body Shop Tech at Whaling City Auto Group is responsible for performing flawless and efficient repairs on vehicle body damage.
This position requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail in order to provide our customers with the best possible service.
The Body Shop Tech will be an integral part of our team, working to ensure that every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle body repairs, including frame straightening, dent removal, and panel replacement
- Accurately assess and document damage to vehicles
- Communicate with body shop lead to provide updates on repairs and address any concerns
- Utilize various tools and equipment to complete repairs, such as air sanders, electric sanders, paint guns, and polishers
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to manufacturer repair procedures and industry standards
- Keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology in vehicle body repair
- Assist with general maintenance and upkeep of the body shop as needed
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and staff to meet deadlines and provide excellent service
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in vehicle body repair preferred
- Ability to use various tools and equipment necessary for repairs
- Technical knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques and best practices
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with a team
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines
