About the Role

Cabot Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Safety and Health Professional to join our team at our Hopkinsville, KY manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Health Management: Promote the implementation of safety and health management systems for the site, collect and evaluate safety and health management information, and manage databases and document record keeping to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Training and Development: Participate in the preparation and administration of site safety and health training, encourage and monitor employees in the use of safety equipment and safe work practices, and advise and coach employees on OSHA and Cabot standards and methods to comply.
  • Incident Response and Emergency Planning: Support incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective action implementation, monitor and implement emergency response plans, and recommend changes to policies and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and releases.
  • Responsible Care Management System: Support the implementation and maintenance of the Responsible Care Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate on internal site committees and teams, as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in safety or related discipline and a minimum one year of relevant experience; or Associate degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or High School diploma with a minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications: Any certifications in health or safety is a plus (OHST, ASP, CSP, ASP, etc.).
  • Skills: Demonstrated technical capabilities in safety and health disciplines, ability to work with others in a team environment, strong oral and written communication skills, planning, organization, and analytical skills, decision-making and problem-solving skills, self-starter, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (WORD, EXCEL, Power Point, TEAMS).
