Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our team at the Cannon House Assisted Living Facility. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse (RN or LPN), the CNA will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care and supporting the overall patient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

The CNA will assist licensed staff in ensuring optimal patient care and will engage in various tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Building trusting relationships with residents through ongoing communication.
  • Monitoring residents' health by taking vital signs and reporting any changes to the supervising nurse.
  • Assisting residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Serving meals and ensuring a tidy dining area.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in residents' living spaces and assisting with laundry.
  • Supporting residents in participating in activities and meals.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant Program and current CNA licensure in Washington State.
  • Current CPR/BCLS certification.
  • Effective communication skills with the healthcare team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various duties as needed.
  • A successful background check and compliance with state-specific registry checks.

Preferred Experience:

While long-term care experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Bilingual candidates in Spanish and English are encouraged to apply.
