Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, development, testing, operation, and maintenance of products utilizing advanced frameworks.
  • Assume full stack ownership by consistently producing production-ready and testable code.
  • Develop optimal designs that adhere to architectural best practices, considering scalability, reliability, and performance of affected systems.
  • Make informed design and coding decisions with a strong focus on customer experience.
  • Accept feedback from code reviews and implement changes to meet established standards. Conduct code reviews to guide on engineering best practices and compliance with development protocols.
  • Ensure that all facets of product development adhere to compliance and security best practices.
  • Maintain a relentless focus on software reliability engineering standards integrated into development practices.
  • Embrace emerging technological opportunities and contribute to best practices in support of the organization's technology transformation.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Critically assess tasks to ensure they are prioritized and sized appropriately for incremental delivery, anticipating and communicating potential blockers and delays proactively.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6-8+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Utilize technical expertise and leadership capabilities to resolve issues, ensure product objectives are met, and mentor junior engineers to elevate the engineering standards across the organization.
  • Drive both high-level and detailed technical designs, conduct technical reviews, and define solution requirements and implementation strategies.
  • Proficient understanding of algorithms, data structures, architectural design patterns, and best practices.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel.
  • 6-8 years of experience working with PHP.
  • Familiarity with modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
  • Ability to communicate processes and outcomes effectively with all stakeholders in the product team, including engineers, product owners, scrum masters, third-party vendors, and customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (git).
  • Familiarity with Unix commands.
  • Strong understanding of the MVC pattern and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Experience with the Laravel Repository Pattern.
  • Proficient in Unit Testing (PHPUnit).
  • Experience in building, optimizing, and utilizing REST APIs.
  • Extensive knowledge of coding standards and best practices.
  • Experience with code versioning tools such as GIT.
  • Ability to mentor junior colleagues.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Redis, Docker, AWS, and Swagger.
  • Comprehensive software life-cycle experience working on complex products within Agile settings.
