Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist provides support for several sites across multiple companies within our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting and business operations principles, as well as excellent organization, communication, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Support/Training
    • Assist internal customers with ordering and purchase approval processes
    • Enforce purchasing policies while providing customer service
    • Respond to requests in a timely manner to support customers
  • Procurement
    • Process purchase orders and returns
    • Maintain vendor relations
    • Monitor orders and deliveries
  • Financial Control/Invoice Verification
    • Review and verify invoices
    • Provide support to accounts payable to ensure invoices are received, approved, and properly coded
    • Track expenses and provide reports for internal stakeholders
  • Operational Improvement
    • Evaluate vendor performance
    • Identify areas for improvement in procurement processes
    • Develop reports and analyze KPIs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and Microsoft ERP systems
  • Understanding of GL coding and accruals
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Proficiency in Excel/Power Query/Power BI, querying database systems (SQL), importing/exporting data between applications
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and holidays as needed
