Job Title: Commercial Strategy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Strategy Specialist to join our US Onshore Supply Chain Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing OPEX category contracts and supporting the Contract Management of OPEX category contracts in Platteville, CO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage OPEX category contracts, including Environmental, Reclamation, and HSE contracts, and corresponding Procurement Strategies for domestic oil and gas assets.
  • Write Purchase Orders, Service Orders, and Blanket Orders to document transaction details and ensure contingencies are addressed.
  • Prepare, submit, and negotiate contract terms and conditions with Legal's support.
  • Drive collaboration efforts with business and functional leadership to establish and execute OPEX sourcing and value creation strategies.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders on strategy, policies, procedures, guidelines, and processes related to OPEX.
  • Drive corporate compliance to the preferred vendor program through end-user change management and communications programs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on contractual and financial aspects of service contracts.
  • Manage the full life cycle of OPEX by advising on the best-fit vendor, executing work order documents, and evaluating vendor performance.
  • Act as a central point of contact between business unit proponents, vendor representatives, and other key stakeholders, including HR and Legal.
  • Pre-qualify new and re-qualify existing Suppliers while ensuring full compliance with the HES Contractor Safety Program.
  • Work in multiple ERP Systems modules, including Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Supplier Registration, Sourcing Strategy, Contract Development and implementation, Supplier Performance, and Contract Close-out.
  • Primary interface with Internal Audit (Supplier audits), Finance - A/P (Invoice reconciliation), HES (Contractor approval and set-up), and Risk Management (Insurance levels and exceptions).
  • Monitor assigned contracts to ensure suppliers comply with terms and conditions.
  • Participate in Supplier Performance Meetings.
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry with an operator, service company, or engineering company; supply chain management experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering advantageous commercial results across various capital and operating spend categories.
  • Strong contract analysis, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate thoughts in a clear, concise, and coherent manner.
  • Strong time management skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of basic analytical and Microsoft Office software programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, decisiveness, and sound judgment.
  • Must be comfortable with change in all its facets and be able to help assist others through change.
