Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at MedCura Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and services specific to your specialty, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic complaints related to your specialty, following standardized procedures.
- Obtain complete histories and perform physical exams, assessing normal and abnormal findings on new patients.
- Obtain interval histories and perform examinations on return patients.
- Perform or request diagnostic studies as indicated, evaluating patient findings according to standardized procedures.
- Order and furnish medications according to standardized procedures, acquiring counter-signature on prescriptions from the supervising physician for medications not included in the approved formulary.
- Perform designated procedures after demonstrated competency and according to standardized procedures where applicable.
- Initiate arrangements for hospital admissions and discharges, completing appropriate paperwork.
- Recognize and consider age-specific needs of patients.
- Effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, staff, and members of the community from diverse backgrounds.
- Recognize situations requiring immediate attention from a physician and initiate life-saving procedures when necessary.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician Assistant (PA) licensure in the State of Georgia and current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification by a nationally accredited organization.
- Current Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Experience in working in a community health center is desirable, but a high level of interest in community medicine is acceptable in lieu of experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Excellent phone etiquette.
- Detailed-oriented and efficient required.
