Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

The Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to manage the day-to-day clinical and operational activities of the PepsiCo Stone Mountain Plant.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide on-site medical services to employees, including triage, treatment, and management of minor work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses. The Nurse Practitioner will also be responsible for dispensing medications, performing lab tests, and providing patient education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site medical services to employees, including triage, treatment, and management of minor work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Dispense medications, including over-the-counter and prescription medications, in accordance with pre-established standing orders.
  • Perform lab tests, including urine drug screening and breath alcohol testing, in accordance with company protocol.
  • Provide patient education on illnesses, medications, and treatments.
  • Work collaboratively with patients and their primary care physicians to facilitate early diagnosis and management of acute and chronic health problems.
  • Coordinate annual seasonal influenza vaccination program.
  • Coordinate and plan monthly health education seminars and general wellness events.
  • Provide administrative services, including maintaining patient medical records and standardized procedures.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Registered/licensed by the State of Georgia Board of Nursing.
  • National Board Certification.
  • Minimum twelve months of related experience (adult medicine).
  • Experience in Occupational Medicine, Workers' Compensation, and DOT exams.
  • Certified Urine Drug Screen Collector preferred.
  • Certified Breath Alcohol Technician preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • DOT Medical Examiner preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR certification required.
Physical Requirements:

Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods. Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s). Ability to move standard equipment through a hospital or clinical environment.

Benefits:

The Johns Hopkins University offers a competitive salary range of $108,000 - $151,400 ($130,000 targeted; commensurate with experience). The university also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
