Feline Care Specialist

The Comforted Kitty is actively seeking self-employed Feline Care Specialists for our service area. You have the flexibility to determine your service area, with most clients located within a 10-mile radius of your residence.

Our Feline Care Specialists receive competitive compensation, averaging $24 for a 30-minute visit, $26 for a 45-minute visit, $30 for a 60-minute visit, and $85 for overnight stays. Additional pay is provided on major holidays. We also offer a tiered bonus system based on the number of sittings accepted and completed weekly. The more you engage, the more you earn.

The number of clients you will serve is based entirely on your availability and the demand in your area, which tends to increase during holidays and summer.

Please note that this is a self-employed position and not a W2 employee role.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Feline CARE SPECIALIST

As a Feline Care Specialist, you will meet each client and their cat in person at their home prior to service. Your friendly demeanor and warm smile leave a lasting impression. You take pride in your responsibilities and maintain professionalism in all interactions. Your exemplary service fosters positive word-of-mouth referrals and a rewarding sense of accomplishment.

During each scheduled pet sitting visit, you will follow the care instructions provided by your client with meticulous attention to detail. Typical responsibilities include feeding, cleaning food and water bowls, maintaining litter boxes, administering medications, and providing daily updates to clients. You will also spend quality time engaging with the cats, treating them as if they were your own, and finding creative ways to comfort them. Additionally, you may perform light house-sitting tasks as agreed, such as checking home security, collecting mail and packages, managing trash bins, and watering plants.

QUALITIES WE SEEK IN A Feline CARE SPECIALIST

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Experience caring for cats is preferred (professional experience is not mandatory)
  • Must possess a smartphone with internet access for app downloads, texting, and photography
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and reference verification

Our peak demand occurs during winter holidays, so we are particularly interested in candidates available during these times.

Certification in pet first aid/CPR or experience with administering medications is a significant advantage but not a requirement. Are you capable of handling unexpected situations with poise? Are you organized and able to manage schedules and keys effectively? Do you radiate calm energy? If so, you may be an ideal fit for this self-employed pet sitting role.

FLEXIBLE PET SITTING OPPORTUNITY

This position offers a flexible side job. As a self-employed opportunity, it is perfect for individuals with unconventional schedules, including part-time students or workers. While reliability is essential, there is flexibility in scheduling. Your clients can choose from four visit time frames: morning (6 AM - 12 PM), afternoon (12 PM - 5 PM), evening (5 PM - 10 PM), and overnight visits (10-hour stay in the home). We will match you with clients who select time slots that align with your availability, ensuring consistency for the cats.

ABOUT THE COMFORTED KITTY

Founded in 2014, we are a premier provider of in-home professional pet sitting services exclusively for cats. We offer animal care services in select metropolitan areas across multiple states. Our sitters provide care for 30, 45, or 60 minutes at a time, either once or twice daily, or for overnight stays. We pride ourselves on our professionalism and our sitters deliver individualized care for cats of all personalities, ages, and temperaments.

Our sitters ensure that clients' homes are left as clean or cleaner than they were found, deliver outstanding customer service, and most importantly, provide exceptional cat care. This entails strictly adhering to client instructions and promptly notifying them of any concerns regarding their cat or home. We also offer a fun and flexible opportunity for cat enthusiasts in the regions we serve.
