Feline Care Provider

The Comforted Kitty is actively seeking self-employed Feline Care Providers for our service area. You have the flexibility to determine your service area, with most clients located within a 10-mile radius of your residence.

Our Feline Care Providers earn competitive compensation, averaging $24 for a 30-minute visit, $26 for a 45-minute visit, $30 for a 60-minute visit, and $85 for overnight visits. Additionally, extra pay is provided on major holidays. We also offer a tiered bonus system based on the number of sittings you accept and complete weekly. The more you engage, the more you earn.

The number of clients you serve is determined by your availability and the demand in your area, with increased demand typically during holidays and summer.

Please note that this is a self-employed position and not a W2 employee role.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FELINE CARE PROVIDER

As a Feline Care Provider, you will meet each client and their cat in person at their home prior to the service. Your friendly demeanor and warm approach leave a lasting impression. You take pride in your work and maintain professionalism in all interactions, leading to positive referrals and personal satisfaction.

During each scheduled visit, you will follow the care instructions provided by the client, ensuring attention to detail. Typical responsibilities include feeding, cleaning food and water bowls, managing litter boxes, administering medications, and providing daily updates to clients. You will also spend quality time engaging with the cats, finding creative ways to comfort and entertain them. Additionally, you may perform light house-sitting tasks as contracted, such as checking home security, collecting mail and packages, managing trash bins, and watering plants.

CHARACTERISTICS WE VALUE IN A FELINE CARE PROVIDER

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Experience in cat care is preferred (professional experience is not mandatory)
  • Must possess a smartphone with internet access for app downloads, texting, and photography
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and reference verification

Our peak demand occurs during winter holidays, so we are particularly interested in candidates available during these times.

Certification in pet first aid/CPR or experience with administering medications is a significant advantage but not a requirement. Are you capable of handling unexpected situations with confidence? Are you organized and systematic, able to manage schedules and keys? Do you exude calm energy? If so, you may be an ideal fit for this self-employed pet care role.

FLEXIBLE PET CARE OPPORTUNITY

This position offers a great flexible side job. As a self-employed opportunity, it is well-suited for individuals with unconventional schedules, including part-time students or workers. While reliability is essential, there is flexibility in scheduling. Clients can choose from four time slots for their visits: morning (6 AM - 12 PM), afternoon (12 PM - 5 PM), evening (5 PM - 10 PM), and overnight visits (10-hour stay in the home). We will match you with clients who select time frames that align with your availability, and consistency is encouraged for the comfort of the cats.

Founded in 2014, we are a premier provider of in-home professional pet care services exclusively for cats. We currently offer animal care services in select metropolitan areas. Our sitters provide visits lasting 30, 45, or 60 minutes, or overnight stays, always prioritizing professionalism and individualized care.

Our sitters ensure that clients' homes are left as clean or cleaner than found, deliver outstanding customer service, and most importantly, provide exceptional cat care. This means strictly adhering to client instructions and promptly notifying them of any concerns regarding their cat or home. We also offer a fun and flexible opportunity for cat enthusiasts in the regions we serve.
