We are looking for a meticulous and skilled Procurement Specialist to enhance our operational efficiency. This role involves overseeing the acquisition of products and services essential for our operations. You will work closely with various departments to assess their procurement requirements, identify suitable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure prompt delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and nurture supplier relationships, addressing any issues or disputes swiftly.
  • Conduct data entry and uphold precise records of purchases, costs, credit card reconciliations, and other critical information using procurement software.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee timely procurement of necessary goods and services.
  • Engage with suppliers through phone and email, following up on pending orders and expediting deliveries when required.
  • Work alongside the operations team to ensure proper storage and timely distribution of products.
  • Act as the procurement agent for our facility, which includes:
    • Processing approved purchase requests
    • Direct communication with vendors
    • Researching pricing and availability of parts
    • Tracking deliveries
    • Providing immediate procurement support from local suppliers
    • Completing necessary documentation such as Purchase Order Requests and vendor quotes
    • Reconciling invoices and purchasing records
  • Support logistics by:
    • Coordinating the relocation of hardware, parts, and consumables
    • Assisting with local logistics, including the pickup and drop-off of materials
  • Interface with service providers, working directly with vendors.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a comparable role.
  • Thorough understanding of procurement processes, policies, and systems.
  • Strong negotiation and networking capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Proactive attitude towards achieving success.
  • Must meet fitness for duty requirements, including passing drug tests and background checks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Full body mobility, including the ability to twist, turn, bend, squat, and navigate stairs.
  • Able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods.
  • Able to move throughout the facility to collaborate with team members.
  • Manual dexterity to handle and manipulate objects; ability to communicate effectively.
  • Job duties may require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
