Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Team Lead to join our team at Vectrus (V2X). As a key member of our supply chain management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of procurement professionals in managing the procurement process for our W-TRS program.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with experience in leading teams and managing complex procurement processes. You will be responsible for creating purchase orders, maintaining systems of ordering materials, and ensuring on-time delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of procurement professionals in managing the procurement process for the W-TRS program
  • Create purchase orders and ensure their accuracy
  • Maintain systems of ordering materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Ensure on-time delivery of materials
  • Respond to requests for purchasing information
  • Compile, record, and track pertinent purchasing data as required
  • Work with accounts payable for new vendor set-up
  • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems
  • Work with A/P and vendors to resolve billing disputes
  • Prepare and maintain RIP documentation and approvals in InSITE
  • Work with the program team to develop RIPs for purchases to meet AAS process
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain management
  • 5+ years of experience in leading teams and managing complex procurement processes
  • Experience in creating purchase orders and ensuring their accuracy
  • Experience in maintaining systems of ordering materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Experience in ensuring on-time delivery of materials
  • Experience in responding to requests for purchasing information
  • Experience in compiling, recording, and tracking pertinent purchasing data as required
  • Experience in working with accounts payable for new vendor set-up
  • Experience in contacting suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems
  • Experience in working with A/P and vendors to resolve billing disputes

Physical Requirements

Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Working Conditions

The worker is primarily in an office environment. Programs will require travel to and working in outside environments at government locations from hot and dry to cold and humid.

PPE required to mitigate environmental and safety hazards.
