We're seeking an exceptional Aerospace Propulsion Systems Engineer to join our team of brilliant engineers who are pushing the boundaries of spacecraft design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, analyze, develop, and test propulsion engines, fluid components, tanks/pressure vessels, and/or fluid systems for our Mars-bound spacecraft.
  • Critical responsibility for propulsive hardware, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with our world-class production team to translate designs into operational spacecraft.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace/aeronautical engineering or related fields.
  • 1 year of experience with design (CAD), analysis (structural and fluids), and materials.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Master's degree in aerospace/aeronautical engineering or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of spacecraft and/or launch vehicle propulsion systems and fluid components.
  • Experience with NX 8.5 or other CAD packages, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5-1994.
  • Proficient in principles of compressible and incompressible flow, thermodynamics, thermochemistry, mechanics, materials, and electrical circuits.
  • Professional or project experience with FEMAP, ANSYS, or similar finite element analysis (FEA) software tools.
  • Familiarity with metallic and fluid system manufacturing techniques, processes, equipment, and methods.
  • Understanding of aerospace materials (metals, plastics, composites).
  • Knowledge of test methods/setups and data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to perform trade studies using first principals and engineering fundamentals.
  • Passion for advancing commercial space exploration and human spaceflight.
Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to travel to remote sites within the US as required.
  • Capacity to pass Air Force background checks for sensitive projects.

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
