About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Gentle Caring Dentistry of Fremont. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists during procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists with dental procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Provide patients with oral care instructions and support after surgery or other dental treatments
  • Record patient medical histories and maintain accurate patient records
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA and HIPAA guidelines
Requirements
  • Valid x-ray certification
  • CPR certification (preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental assistant
  • Experience taking impressions and pouring models
  • Experience assisting during a variety of procedures, including CR/SR fillings, crown/bridge prep
  • Ability to setup and breakdown operatories
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Experience with dental software, such as Open Dental (preferred)
