We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Gentle Caring Dentistry of Fremont. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist dentists during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Provide patients with oral care instructions following surgery or other dental treatments, promoting optimal oral health.
- Record patient medical histories and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety standards.
- Valid x-ray certification, demonstrating expertise in radiography.
- CPR certification (preferred), showcasing commitment to patient safety.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental assistant, highlighting your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental environment.
- Experience taking impressions and pouring models, demonstrating your technical skills.
- Experience assisting during a variety of procedures, such as CR/SR fillings, crown/bridge prep, and other dental treatments.
- Ability to setup and breakdown operatories, ensuring efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Experience with dental software such as Open Dental, preferred, showcasing your adaptability and willingness to learn.
