The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. This role is responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Assess patients' medical histories, physical conditions, and imaging requirements to determine the most appropriate imaging procedures.
- Position patients correctly and safely for imaging procedures, taking into account their physical limitations and medical conditions.
- Operate CT scanners and other imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of imaging procedures, patient information, and diagnostic results.
- Graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiologic Technology Program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current.
- ARRT registered; CT Certification or acquired within 6 months.
- 1-3 years minimum CT experience.
