Job Overview
The Logistics & Inventory Specialist is essential in enhancing efficient manufacturing workflows. This role is responsible for managing material handling, overseeing inventory processes, and providing comprehensive support for streamlined production operations.
Key responsibilities include supplying materials to production stations, assisting with material handling, maintaining inventory accuracy, conducting cycle counts, and supporting various production activities such as packing, painting, and shipping.
Furthermore, this position involves documentation management, workspace organization, and facilitating changeovers.Key Responsibilities
- Effectively transport materials, components, and assemblies to ensure a smooth production flow.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies to reduce errors and boost productivity.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and perform regular cycle counts.
- Handle loading and unloading of trucks, manage incoming and outgoing materials, and inspect incoming equipment.
- Restock materials and tools as necessary, ensuring they are ready for use.
- Pack and unpack items for storage in stockrooms, warehouses, or nearby storage areas.
- Examine outgoing products for quality assurance.
- Accurately complete transfer orders within the SAP system.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing setting
