**Job Title:** College Success Advisor

The Generation Hope Scholar Program is a comprehensive initiative designed to support teen parents in achieving their higher education goals. As a key member of our team, the College Success Advisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our scholars.

About the Position

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position that reports directly to the Director of DC Programming. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in working with youth and children, experience in college access and/or college success advising, financial aid, and team management. Strong strategic planning skills, exceptional customer service, and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders are also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with the Director of DC Programming, design and implement programming that challenges, engages, and inspires our scholars, including pre-service support for incoming scholars.
  • Work closely with the program team to address issues within scholar/sponsor relationships and develop strategies to improve these relationships.
  • Develop and execute targeted strategies to serve specific populations of students, such as student fathers, DACA students, and first-generation college students.
  • Cultivate in-depth knowledge of federal and school-specific financial aid policies and procedures to provide expert training and support to staff and scholars.
  • Provide ongoing support to Generation Hope mentors by assessing their experiences and offering opportunities for feedback throughout the year.
  • Supervise and support up to five Scholar Program Coordinators, including regular meetings and supervisions.
**Salary and Benefits**

$72,000 - $82,000 per annum, plus comprehensive benefits package, including 403(b), health, dental, and paid time off.
