Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Therapy Technician III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our habilitative services team, you will play a critical role in providing direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans for assigned therapeutic specialties.
  • Provide direct contact instruction and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on their treatment plans.
  • Train staff to ensure continuity of treatment plans and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor the implementation of treatment plans and gather data to assess progress.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss individual progress and develop treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of relevant therapeutic techniques, such as applied behavior analysis and sensory integration.
  • Ability to train staff in treatment methods and related areas.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and meet the physical requirements of the position.
