Role Summary:

As a Junior Audit Analyst at Augmentjobs, you will be instrumental in assisting our internal audit division by carrying out audit activities, evaluating financial reports, and ensuring adherence to corporate policies and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with senior auditors to evaluate risk management strategies, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the audit process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit Execution: Support the planning and execution of audits, including fieldwork and testing of internal controls, processes, and financial transactions.
  • Data Analysis: Examine financial data, detect discrepancies, and confirm the accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive working papers and documentation to substantiate audit findings and recommendations.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Assess compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable regulations; report any deviations or concerns.
  • Reporting: Aid in the formulation of audit reports, summarizing findings and suggesting improvements.
  • Communication: Clearly convey audit findings and recommendations to senior auditors and other stakeholders.
  • Follow-Up: Track the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on corrective actions to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of audit methodologies, tools, and processes.
Required Skills:
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate financial data and identify issues.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulousness in reviewing financial documents and audit evidence.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey findings and engage with various stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with data analytics tools is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding of auditing standards, financial regulations, and internal control frameworks.
  • Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently when necessary.
  • Ethics and Integrity: Strong ethical standards and integrity in managing sensitive and confidential information.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or a related field. Previous experience in a similar role or internship is preferred.
  • Certifications: CPA or CIA designation is a plus, but not mandatory.
