Position Overview

The Performance Media Strategist plays a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing media performance analytics to support the media planning and buying team’s strategic initiatives aligned with client marketing goals. This position requires a detailed analysis of media partners, tactics, and creative media performance data to derive insights across both traditional and digital channels. The strategist collaborates closely with the media planning team to ensure ongoing monitoring and optimization of strategies, adapting to evolving market dynamics. This role is essential in architecting media performance reports that demonstrate our impact on driving significant business results through strategic resource allocation and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Proficiency

  • Collaborates with internal teams and clients to establish cross-channel media strategies, leveraging expertise in media tools and response forecasting.
  • Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously, enhancing project management efficiency.
  • Identifies target demographics and selects the most effective online advertising platforms based on data-driven insights.
  • Evaluates potential media channels for effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).
  • Oversees client reporting deliverables and generates media performance reports.
  • Conducts comprehensive campaign evaluations, providing actionable insights to refine strategies and boost customer engagement.
  • Tracks performance trends, identifies significant shifts in reporting data, and ensures quality assurance across all advertising placements.

  • With a strong emphasis on client engagement and partner management, develops a deep understanding of clients' brands and objectives, anticipating their needs and offering strategic guidance.
  • Participates in client and media partner discussions, providing clear updates on project status.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in reporting and/or analytics across all media channels.
  • Experience in the agency or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

Essential Skills

  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to extract and interpret data, generating actionable insights to enhance campaign performance.
  • Data Manipulation: Proficient in advanced data manipulation techniques within Excel, including Pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, facilitating efficient analysis and reporting.
  • Third-party Tools & Applications: Skilled in utilizing third-party tools to enhance media strategies and campaign effectiveness. Familiarity with reporting tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Data Studio, Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, and business software like Microsoft PowerPoint/Google Slides, and Microsoft Word/Google Docs.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Domo, and Google's Looker Data Studio.
  • Proficient in navigating various media platforms, particularly within Healthcare Professional (HCP) and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) sectors, with an understanding of partner offerings and planning processes.
  • Familiarity with platforms like DoubleClick, Google Campaign Manager 360, Vivvix, Semrush, and Adobe Analytics is advantageous.
  • Demonstrates evolving leadership skills by effectively guiding teams towards project objectives within established timelines.
  • Basic knowledge of media management and finance platforms like Media Ocean - Prisma or equivalent is a plus.
