Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities/EHS Technician to join our team at RTP Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the functionality of our building systems, ensuring a safe working environment, and performing various maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance: Inspect and repair building structures, perform minor plumbing maintenance, operate water and waste-water treatment systems, and conduct routine inspections.
- Environmental Health and Safety (EHS): Conduct safety audits, train employees on safety procedures, schedule and coordinate annual testing requirements, and provide assistance to supervisors and hourly employees on safety-related matters.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform general cleaning and maintenance of facilities, including grounds keeping and snow removal, and assist with documentation and monitoring of safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, EHS, or a related field.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, lift up to 60 pounds, and handle equipment safely.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, and airborne particles. Regularly, the employee will stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk and hear to coordinate and operate equipment.
Frequently, the employee will lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, and occasionally, handle equipment weighing up to 250 pounds. The employee may also be required to work at elevated heights of approximately 30 feet and be exposed to noise levels above the OSHA action level requiring the use of hearing protection.
Occasional travel to other locations may be required.
