About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Account Executive to join our team at Truist. As an Insurance Account Executive, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and building strong relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule regular meetings with producers to review client strategies, escalated service issues, and plan client meetings.
  • Plan and monitor annual open enrollment checklists, resources, and timelines.
  • Lead renewal and marketing efforts, considering additional lines of coverage that clients may need.
  • Ensure Partnership Reports, Business Associate Agreements, and proposals are complete.
  • Schedule and lead handoff meetings once final sold decisions are made.
  • Request and interpret benchmarking data, actuarial analysis, compliance matters, and other specialty practices expertise needed.
  • Schedule and lead PPR reviews (year-end and mid-year at minimum).
  • Create Partnership reports alongside account managers for clients with $50,000 or more in revenue.
  • Lead major client projects, such as implementing wellness programs, new benefit administration systems, and mergers and acquisitions support.
  • Plan and lead quarterly meetings with clients to include post-renewal, compliance review, claims review, pre-renewal planning, and open enrollment/carrier implementation.
  • Provide advice and support to account managers and customer service associates on areas where they are still building experience.
  • Monitor overall assigned book of business revenue in miDash, McGriff's revenue dashboard.
  • Communicate with account managers, agency management, producers, carriers, and clients as needed to resolve or explain expected revenue shortfalls.
  • Update claims reports quarterly/monthly.
  • Participate in prospect meetings when appropriate and discuss McGriff's service model, including the Client Experience Roadmap.
  • Continuously learn and advance knowledge of the industry, carriers, lines of coverage, and compliance.
  • Meet with account managers on a bi-weekly basis to check in on mutual clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Five years of relevant insurance industry experience.
  • Appropriate insurance licenses.
  • Strong client relationship skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients and market contacts.
  • Ability to utilize leadership skills by providing direction, constructive feedback, development, and training while motivating others to maximize productivity and team morale.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree.
  • Certification in the field of endeavor.
  • Experience with Requests for Proposal.
