Position Title: Financial Operations CoordinatorPart-Time: 20-25 hours per week.
Reports To: Fiscal Director and Administrative Manager.
Salary Range: $25/hr
Role Summary: The Financial Operations Coordinator is essential in facilitating the financial activities of the organization. Key responsibilities include the organization of financial documents, assistance with payroll tasks, and the preparation of financial reports for board meetings and grant submissions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:
Document Organization:
- Gather, classify, and manage receipts and financial paperwork.
- Ensure precise and timely entry of expenses into financial systems.
- Reconcile receipts with financial reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of payroll processes.
- Verify that payroll information is accurate and current.
- Work alongside the Fiscal Director to address any discrepancies.
- Collect and analyze financial data to create reports for board meetings.
- Support the development of financial documentation for grant applications.
- Ensure that reports are accurate, thorough, and submitted punctually.
- Provide support to the Administrative Manager and Fiscal Director as required.
- Handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to financial operations.
- Assist with special financial initiatives as assigned.
- Continuously seek to enhance processes and efficiency within the finance department.
- Stay informed about relevant financial regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in basic computer software (Office Suite, Google, HMIS, etc.).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to navigate stairs.
- Ability to rise from the floor without assistance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the day.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to assist in physical setup activities (e.g., arranging tables and chairs).
- Ability to perform tasks involving twisting and turning.
