Salary Range: $70,000 - $110,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit to join our team at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, personalized care to our patients.

Job Summary:

  • Plan and prioritize age and specialty-appropriate care for assigned patients, communicating relevant information to healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients, identifying nursing diagnosis/patient care needs.
  • Evaluate patient/family response to implemented care and modify the plan accordingly.
  • Implement and direct care using the nursing process, emphasizing individual patient needs.
  • Promote, initiate, or coordinate interdisciplinary care provision through open communication with patients, nursing personnel, physicians, clergy, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in acute care setting preferred.
  • Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing required.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (employees with RN Compact License must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
