We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Practitioner - Wound Care Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on patient care and outcomes while advancing your own professional growth and development.


">Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse with our hospital, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage."


">Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.

  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • BSN is preferred
  • Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • ACLS Certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting required. Wound Care experience is required
  • Wound Care Certification is preferred

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 per year, plus benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, retirement plans, education assistance, and more.
