Job Description

At Ford Motor Company, we are committed to creating innovative electric vehicles that redefine the future of mobility. As a Senior Power Electronics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing key technologies and capabilities for our electric vehicle platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop power conversion electronics for electric vehicle applications, including component selection, schematic design, and layout design.
  • Design and develop mixed signal circuits for power electronics applications, including component selection, schematic design, and layout design.
  • Perform complex circuit analysis, magnetics analysis, thermal analysis, and control analysis to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our electric vehicle systems.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, mechanical engineers, project management, and supply chain teams to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience with power electronics design, including component selection, schematic design, and layout design.
  • In-depth knowledge of power electronics fundamentals and hardware development of power converters.
  • In-depth knowledge of layout practices for signal integrity, testability, and manufacturability.
  • Adequate knowledge of circuit simulation software, including Simulink, LTSPICE, and PLECS.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes and impedance analyzers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with high-frequency electromagnetics FEA simulation.
  • Experience with safety-critical automotive hardware development.
  • Familiarity with DFMEA and industry standards for power electronics products.
