About the Role
This position presents an exciting opportunity within our dry eye sales division. We are in search of a driven and skilled sales professional specializing in the promotion of our dry eye pharmaceutical offerings. The ideal candidate will be tasked with formulating and implementing sales strategies aimed at engaging ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare providers within a designated region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement a strategic sales plan for the designated territory to meet sales targets.
  • Employ an account management approach to effectively promote the dry eye product line and associated initiatives.
  • Gain insights into specific account roles and responsibilities to influence prescribing behaviors and therapy availability.
  • Utilize and enhance clinical selling techniques to provide value and shape customer perspectives on treatment options.
  • Oversee promotional budgets and allocate resources for promotional activities aligned with the business strategy.
  • Adhere to the account call plan for ophthalmologists and optometrists based on prescription activity assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that account requirements are fulfilled.
  • Continuously evaluate market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Leverage available samples in compliance with FDA guidelines to maximize engagement with the target audience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success with a proven track record in the top 30% of sales performance over the past two years.
  • Previous experience in key account management roles is preferred.
  • Exemplary collaboration and leadership skills within a team environment.
  • Residence within the designated territory is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of ophthalmology is essential.
  • Proficiency in interpreting clinical studies and third-party proof sources.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret business and professional journals, as well as prepare reports and correspondence.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Capability to effectively present complex clinical information to healthcare professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A valid driver's license is required for travel to customer locations within the assigned territory.
  • Some overnight travel may be necessary.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Compensation
As per New York City's salary transparency regulations, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range for roles performed in New York City. The starting annual base pay for this position ranges from $135,000 to $160,000, influenced by various factors including skill set, experience level, and specific office location.
