About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Performance Engineer to join our team at HGA. As a key member of our Building Performance group, you will play a critical role in helping us deliver high-performance buildings that exceed our clients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement energy efficiency strategies for new and existing buildings
  • Lead commissioning and retro-commissioning efforts to ensure optimal building performance
  • Collaborate with design teams to integrate building performance into the design process
  • Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering)
  • 8-12 years of experience in building performance, commissioning, or a related field
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of building automation systems, energy management systems, and commissioning protocols
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE, CEM, or other relevant certifications
  • LEED, WELL, or other relevant building certification accreditation
  • Experience with building information modeling (BIM) and energy modeling software
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and codes
