Position Overview

This role will assist in managing the financial operations of the firm, reporting directly to our Director of Finance. As a developing venture capital firm, we require an individual who is dedicated to maintaining accurate and timely financial practices and reporting. This position offers the chance to gain valuable exposure to venture capital investing while leveraging your expertise to ensure our operations run smoothly. Please note that this is an accounting and operational role within our internal finance team, distinct from investment roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.
  • Maintain the general ledger and manage intercompany transactions across various entities.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and investment performance metrics.
  • Support the development and maintenance of financial models for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Analyze budget variances and provide insights into financial trends.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial statements for the management company.
  • Assist in compiling materials for regulatory filings and audits.
  • Maintain and update financial databases, vendor files, and other essential records.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to manage fund operations effectively.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and financial regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in accounting and financial reporting.
