Machine Maintenance Specialist

Job Title: Card Cleaner at Parkdale US Cotton
- Manage and operate advanced machinery by adjusting settings and conducting tests to ensure efficient production processes.
- Ensure that all machines are properly calibrated before and after production tasks.
- Prepare machinery at the start of work shifts to guarantee operational readiness.
- Conduct pre-production tests on equipment to confirm optimal working condition.
- Input all necessary operational parameters such as speed, dimensions, and configurations into the machinery prior to production runs.
- Load production materials into designated areas of the machinery to maximize output efficiency.
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all departmental equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on assigned machinery as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise, identifying the root causes.
- Maintain continuous operation of the department, ensuring it runs smoothly at all times.
- Manage inventory of parts to keep equipment in a 'like new' condition.
- Address any equipment malfunctions promptly and thoroughly.
- Ensure all repairs are conducted accurately and efficiently.
- Strictly follow job specifications to deliver high-quality work.
- Comply with company policies and procedures consistently.
- Ensure timely preparation and availability of all necessary production materials to prevent shortages.
- May be required to carry a communication device for emergency situations.
- Demonstrate self-management and professionalism in all assigned responsibilities.
- Maintain cleanliness in designated work areas at all times.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Clean machine components after each work cycle.
SUCCESS FACTORS/JOB COMPETENCIES:
Previous mechanical experience is advantageous.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to learn and execute all assigned job procedures independently to maintain operational efficiency.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required. Maintain cleanliness in work areas and machinery. Adhere to safety protocols and wear necessary personal protective equipment at all times.
