Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Superintendent to exercise judgment and discretion in making recommendations, implementing policies, and handling various matters in the field.

The Field Engineer will be responsible for proactively aiding the Superintendent in front-line field management, including layout, supervision of trade workers, and quality control. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires a strong work ethic, problem-solving ability, and good attitude.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project layout and surveying in conformance with design and contract documents
  • Checking concrete forms for accuracy and adequacy of construction
  • Performing production trend analysis and reporting for weekly and monthly schedule and cost control reports
  • Assisting with quality control, site safety initiatives, and coordination of trade partners
  • Directing a small workforce to gain supervisory experience
  • Coordinating material deliveries and inspecting materials for quantity, quality, and condition
  • Assisting foremen and trade partners with interpretation of plans and specifications
  • Participating in jobsite safety meetings and weekly safety audits
Requirements
  • 4-year degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture, or Construction Management
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite
Preferred Qualifications
  • Past internships in the construction industry
