Job Summary

Under the supervision of our experienced team, you will perform a variety of duties related to patient registration, including obtaining demographic and insurance information, verifying eligibility, and preparing required forms. Your excellent communication skills and attention to detail will ensure seamless interactions with patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients or their representatives to obtain necessary demographic and insurance information.
  • Input registration information into our computer system, verifying accuracy and scanning relevant documents.
  • Prepare required forms for completion, review, and/or signature by patients or their representatives.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, medical necessity, and referral requirements using online resources and computer applications.
  • Facilitate patient flow by directing patients to correct locations and providing assistance as needed.
  • Answer phone calls, check voice mail, and respond accordingly.
  • Assist clinical staff and providers with clerical responsibilities.
  • Participate in daily workflow activities, including opening procedures, chart preparation, and end-of-day procedures.
  • Understand and utilize our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN), and other relevant systems.
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.
  • Operate office equipment, including computers, scanners, printers, and phones.
  • Assist in maintaining office equipment, supplies, and patient rooms.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in a hospital or medical office environment, with familiarity of registration and insurance processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
Compensation

Starting at $16.50 per hour.
