Key Responsibilities
  • The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN will provide both pre-operative and post-operative nursing support.
  • Acting as a patient advocate, the RN ensures an outstanding patient experience.
  • Exhibits leadership to facilitate the delivery of professional nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and wellbeing. Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Implements prescribed medical interventions.

Essential Duties:

  • Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, promptly reporting any changes.
  • Carry out procedures as directed by medical providers.
  • Accurately document care provided in the patient medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to cardiac and medical-surgical care.
Qualifications Required
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years of hire. Exemptions may apply for experienced RNs.
  • Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Licensure: Current RN license with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC license may apply.
  • Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
  • Preferred Certification: National certification in a nursing specialty.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year in nursing.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: Compliance with vaccination requirements as per local, state, or federal regulations.
