Your contributions are vital. Every position influences our patients' experiences, and you have the chance to make a significant impact. We are seeking a committed Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. Collaborating with healthcare providers, the RN will offer both pre-operative and post-operative nursing support.
  • Acting as a patient advocate, the RN ensures an exceptional patient experience.
  • Providing leadership that promotes the delivery of professional nursing care, the RN utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care for patients and their families.
  • Implementing medically prescribed interventions as required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
  • Performing procedures as directed by medical providers.
  • Documenting care provided in the patient medical record promptly and accurately.
  • Administering prescribed medications and monitoring patient responses.
  • Maintaining knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Qualifications Required:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years of hire. RNs with ten or more years of experience may qualify for exemptions.
  • Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) licensure may apply.
  • Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
  • Preferred Certification: National certification in a nursing specialty.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
  • This position requires full vaccination for COVID-19, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
