Role Responsibilities
  • The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing services.
  • Acts as a patient advocate to ensure an outstanding patient experience.
  • Leads the delivery of professional nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and wellbeing. Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Implements prescribed medical interventions.

Key Duties:

  • Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, reporting any changes in status.
  • Carry out procedures as directed by medical providers.
  • Document care provided in the patient medical record promptly and accurately.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to cardiac and medical-surgical care.
Qualifications
  • Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years of hire. Experience may qualify for exemptions.
  • Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Required Licensure: Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC license may apply.
  • Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Preferred Certification: National certification in specialty area.
  • Required Experience: Minimum of one year in nursing.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required unless an exemption is approved.
