Your role is crucial in impacting the lives of our patients positively. We are seeking a committed Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit to enhance our team.
Role Responsibilities- The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing services.
- Acting as a patient advocate, the RN ensures an outstanding patient experience.
- Demonstrates leadership in delivering professional nursing care, focusing on patient comfort and wellbeing. Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care for patients and their families.
- Implements prescribed medical interventions effectively.
Key Duties:
- Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, promptly reporting any changes.
- Execute procedures as directed by medical providers.
- Accurately document care provided in the patient medical record in a timely manner.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
- Maintain current knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to cardiac and medical-surgical care.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years of hire. Exemptions may apply for experienced RNs.
- Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Licensure: Current registered nurse license with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC license may apply.
- Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
- Preferred Certification: National certification in a specialty area.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of nursing experience required.
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Compliance with vaccination requirements is necessary unless exempted for medical or religious reasons.
