We are in search of a dedicated and experienced professional who is passionate about fostering the development of young leaders within a faith-based educational environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to students concerning their academic and personal development.
  • Facilitate lessons focused on essential life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership tailored to the needs of each class.
  • Maintain accessibility to all students and strive to build meaningful relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Learning Support Team to enhance student outcomes.
  • Track and assess student progress to evaluate the effectiveness of support programs.
  • Engage with parents to help them understand school policies and their child's academic journey.
  • Offer brief counseling sessions to address social and emotional issues and refer students to external resources when necessary.
  • Work closely with faculty and staff to develop and implement strategies for student support.
  • Participate in school events and activities to foster community engagement.
  • Supervise students in various settings, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Attend faculty meetings and contribute to school committees as required.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance educational practices.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned and uphold school policies while serving as a positive role model.

Administrative Duties:

  • Respond to communications from parents and staff in a timely manner.
  • Regularly update parents on their child's academic performance and behavioral progress.
  • Submit relevant data to the Data Committee promptly.
  • Maintain an organized and professional workspace.
  • Demonstrate respect and confidentiality in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Active participation in the Catholic faith is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in counseling, psychology, education, or a related field.
  • Relevant internship or clinical experience.
  • State licensure and certification as a counselor.
  • Clear background check as per institutional requirements.
  • Understanding of child development and effective communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and collaborative spirit.

Physical Requirements:

The successful candidate must be able to:

  • Engage with students in various physical settings, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
  • Navigate classroom environments effectively.
  • Participate in activities that may require physical movement and coordination.
