Overview

The State of California is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Division Director in our Department of Conservation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the Division of Land Resource Protection's land conservation programs.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $10,048.00 - $20,748.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

As Division Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our land conservation programs meet statutory requirements and departmental goals. This includes managing and directing multidisciplinary professional and administrative staff, analyzing complex problems, and recommending effective courses of action. Your expertise will also be valuable in developing cooperative working relationships with representatives of all levels of government, the public, and the Legislature and Executive branches.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high degree of initiative, independence of action, and originality. You should also demonstrate tact and exercise sound judgment that recognizes the best interests of the State. Additionally, you will need to have extensive experience running or leading major grant programs or grant-funded programs throughout the State, as well as relevant experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing, hiring, coaching, and developing staff.
